The Day Of Shooting: (Day 1 and Day 2)
On day 1 of shooting we had many responsibilities to fulfill. This included splitting the group into two and taking on responsibilities to ensure the music video shooting was successful. This included two members to go over to the gym and ask for the back doors to be open because we needed the doors to be open to create the back of a club scene.
The other two had to go over to the main hall and ask for permission to use the college hall red carpet poles that are usually seen outside a club when the bouncer lets people in. After being permitted to borrow the ropes we then had to take them over to the gym.
We also had to ask our media teacher to help us by contributing to the scenes, this involved using her car. We needed her to drive up the car to the gym the members of the group had to film the main character coming out of the car and also a car generally pulling up in-front of a club-this was the initial idea we created.
On Day 2 of shooting, we had to go over to the dark room and set up the lights in the dark room. We needed extra people in the video so we asked a few girls in our media class to help out a background dancers to enhance the idea of a girls night out in a club. We shot a verity of shots including close up lip syncing shots and also an over view of a typical scence of a girl dancing with a guy in a club.

Things that went wrong
There was a disaster which we overcame as a team. The incident that happened was the fact that our lights crashed and as a result of this they were not working anymore. We therefore could not shoot our music video on the day we had planned. This resulted in us having to reschedule a new date to film.
We also brought in new lights which were not as good as the previous set however we made use of them in the same way as we previously planned.
Other things that went wrong included costumes, we did not prepare costumes due to a misunderstand of dates. We made use of normal clothing.
Another one of our problems was the lighting during day time shooting. We wanted to create the music video at night as usually and more commonly people go clubbing during late evening. We also needed a car to film this at night, however this backfired and we could not do so as it was not possible. We therefore used our media teacher's car during day time, and luckily the weather was not so bright and looked dull so we decided it wouldn't be so bad to film during the day because we could edit it and create that effect of evening.
We had plans to go to town on a real night out into a real nightclub to do some filming of real life clubbing, however the risk of taking out a college camera on a clubbing night is high, and it's not safe to take out property that is not yours because of the responsibility there is.
A minor problem was that our test footage was not long enough; we did not have enough shots. We learnt from our mistakes and on the real day of shooting we made sure we had more than enough shots just in case we need extra scenes.

planing for the final shoot-general ideas.
We are planning to use disco lights in our music video. The reason for this is that the music is a club based genre and therfore the lights will help emphasize this idea of a club to the audience and target audience which is mainly teens who love to go clubbing and partying.
These are the lights one of the members of our group has. We will use these lights to create a club atmosphere in the darkroom.
The photograph below is a rough idea of the atmosphere we would like to crate with the lights in a dark room.

Feedback for Blog
Coverage Of Posts So Far :
Mosts posts are there on the blog but there are a few that are missing, for example, the analysis of student videos and auteur study and the posts that have the lyrics arent really needed. Storyboards and shot lists arent on the blog aswell so it made it diffuclt to fully understand the concept. Also some posts can be merged together as one post instead of a few.
Quality Of Posts:
The quality of posts is good but some could have a bit more detail. The use of photos in the blog is very good too
Assessment of Ideas So Far :
Its a well used concept in a lot of videos relating to the genre of the song but if you find a way of making it unique and distinctive then it will work.
Advice and Guidance :
Complete the missing blog posts as a few are needed (Storyboards and Shotlists) so that the concept of the video is fully explained.
